Your Candy Heart Says “Get Real”

You’re a bit of a cynic when it comes to love.
You don’t lose your head, and hardly anyone penetrates your heart.

Your ideal Valentine’s Day date: is all about the person you’re seeing (with no mentions of v-day!)

Your flirting style: honest and even slightly sarcastic

What turns you off: romantic expectations and “greeting card” holidays

Why you’re hot: you don’t just play hard to get – you are hard to get

What Does Your Candy Heart Say?

I would like to think of myself as being this way.

    I needs a vacation

    February 18th, 2006 by T-Fresh

This isn’t the first time this has happened.

Last night while sleeping, every time I’d wake up to turn over I’d feel guilty that I wasn’t working on an ad for the newspaper. This surely has to be a sign that I’m overworked, underpaid, and am very close to having a burnout at work.

It’s a strange feeling in the middle of the night, being groggy as hell and feeling like I should be using those few seconds, and the few minutes before drifting into sleep to be organizing elements for an ad, or to be thinking about how to lay it out.

It just ain’t right, I’m telling you!

But, in other work-related news, as of Tuesday, I’m going to be a temporary employee of the paper instead of the temp agency I’ve been with. This means I’ll get into the union, and have seniority over any new hiree they may get for the night position, so that if a daytime gig becomes available, they’ll come to me with it first instead of the other person on nights. This means they really like me at the paper and are trying to make thing work with my schedule. I’ll be modest and admit that they’d truly be fucked if they lost me.

    Rejoice.

    Cleaning House

    February 13th, 2006 by T-Fresh

This past weekend it snowed like a bastard, so I took the opportunity to finally sit down and reformat my laptop and reinstall everything fresh. Well, as fresh as it can be considering I don’t have an actual XP disc, but instead a restore DVD that came with my laptop that has all kinds of useless crap on it. I forgot how ugly the pre-installed desktop is. (see photo below)

I also always forget how much stuff I need to install on my laptop to make it useable by me. It’s such a chore!

I heard the best quote today about Windows machines and why you need to reformat them so often. “Having a Windows system is like having a baby; you have to change its diaper often, and for the same reason.
