Belated Trans-Siberian Orchestra
December 6th, 2006 by T-FreshThe music was awesome. They had some wonderful takes on Christmas songs, and some really good original pieces. I really liked that the small string section they had was comprised of local musicians.
Highlights from the show would have to be when they made it snow in the civic center, the laser light show, and the backdrop that was studded with LED lights that made it look like a star curtain, or snow.
If you ever have a chance to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra, do it. You won’t be disappointed. David and I felt we got his money worth (early christmas present to me) even though we only stayed for half the show. After the christmas portion of the show—2 hours in—they stopped and introduced the band members and the vocalists. When they got around to the narrator they introduced him by saying: “And this man’s voice has set the tone for the first half of our show…” After that they started in with what seemed to be a jam session. They started with a song from the album “The Lost Christmas Eve” and it soon transformed into a cover of Clapton’s “Layla” which rocked. At this point the show got about 100% louder and we knew it was time to leave while we could still hear something. With the music being so loud, and all the lighting they had strobing, it was very difficult to make it down the concrete steps to the exit.
So, to conclude:
